Caricatures

My caricatures are really portraits on small bodies, surrounded by the interests and idiosyncrasies associated with the subject.

While I admire the great satirical caricaturists of our time I prefer to compliment the subject rather than exaggerate their shortcomings. This has proved popular with family and friends as a way of capturing a moment in time.  

Landscapes

Like many artists I am always aware of my surroundings at home and throughout the world. There are pictures everywhere and living in Dorset there is never a shortage of material.

I paint mainly in Oil and Watercolour and while thoroughly enjoying traditional landscape work have a fascination with unusual subjects. People are of particular interest because here you can picture them from all walks of life in their working environment.
